{"id":44,"date":"2022-08-01T22:14:39","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T22:14:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trevadarice.com\/?p=44"},"modified":"2022-09-26T22:18:43","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T22:18:43","slug":"quiet-quitting-not-sure-i-agree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trevadarice.com\/?p=44","title":{"rendered":"Quiet Quitting: Not sure I agree &#8212;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hard facts:&nbsp;&nbsp;This whole notion of quiet quitting is really nothing new.&nbsp;&nbsp;Former terms, working the four corners of my desk, retired on the job, it\u2019s not in my job description, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;Now before I get into this, let\u2019s be clear hostile work environments are to be dealt with in appropriate forums.&nbsp;&nbsp;I\u2019m speaking from the space of \u2018I just don\u2019t like my boss\u2019 or \u2018I hate my job\u2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;1. Disliking your boss is not a real reason to limit your growth.&nbsp;&nbsp;Find ways to link up with a career advisor or mentor to help you reset your path and\/or find ways to communicate with your boss.&nbsp;&nbsp;I\u2019ll be honest, I didn\u2019t have the best boss about 25 years ago, and thought \u2018quiet quitting\u2019 was an option.&nbsp;&nbsp;It nearly ruined my career!&nbsp;&nbsp;One thing is for sure, it set me back a year.&nbsp;&nbsp;While I could have been getting exposure opportunities or relevant training, I was only doing what was in my job description and others were then approved for those great expansion opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;Here is the thing, there is always somebody who may have a focused career plan and will step right into the progressive opportunities, that may be passed up because of \u2018quiet quitting\u2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;2.
