As luck would have it, I ran into this article that proves less is more (<a href=\"https:\/\/lnkd.in\/ejkwWcuU\">https:\/\/lnkd.in\/ejkwWcuU<\/a>) However, building a strong, cohesive network still takes some work. Here are three quick tips for getting through your initial engagement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) When making a connection, ensure you know exactly what your career goals are &#8211; don&#8217;t rely on a new contact to figure that out for you. Your new contact will be focused on providing expert career advice to help you navigate your career goals.<br>2) Never ask a new connect to call you &#8211; Ask them for a good time to call them or who to call to schedule an appointment.<br>3). Prepare for your first meeting\/conversation &#8211; research the company and new contacts career. Also, always follow-up with a thank you. Then set your calendar to reach out in 90 days with a follow-up on the progress of your career goals.
