Happy Friday…..how are you ending your work week?
Did you know how you end your week is also how you start the next week. What do I mean? Taking time on Friday afternoon to organize files, close the loop with your team or supervisor, clearing your desk, printing the next weeks calendar and starting your Monday to-do list actually results in three things:
#1: You reset and refresh your physical space. There is nothing better than arriving to a nice, neat fresh cubicle or office on Monday morning!
#2: You positively engage with your boss and often times work conversations are great ways to understand your boss more and get to know them better.
#3: No more ‘Sunday Worries’ – Years ago when I started this hack, I noticed my Sunday’s were much better – I didn’t get anxious anymore, trying to remember fine details from the week, because I knew my to-do list was already prepped and I had my calendar to set my expectation (and wardrobe) for the week ahead. –
So, today before you leave for another wonderful weekend – take some time to let your boss know the top 3 things you completed this week and top 3 things on the to-do list next week. Also, clear the clutter, toss the trash, wash the coffee mug, sanitize your work station, prep your to-do list and print your calendar.
I’m pretty certain, these easy breezy steps will make all the difference with the start of your week!
Try it and let me know!
